Drama: Bachelorette party tonight

I am MOH in my friends wedding. She lives in Cali and we planned one night in NYC and one night on LI.
One of her very catty friends, who lives in NYC has been giving me drama throughout this entire time(mind you she is not part of the bridal party) from nit picking the restaurant I've chosen to saying what a 'waste it was to' have a hotel in NYC. (My friend is not from NYC and honestly it's no fun to have the out of towners stay on couches. It would come out to $50 bucks a person for the hotel!

Anyway, this catty girl was talking smack about me how i am a control freak and an 'as*hole' to a mutal friend of ours. I made the mistake of telling the bride to be bc I am livid. now she is upset that there will be drama.

How should I handle this tonight? I need advice!!!

Ugh, that $ucks. Unfortunately I think you may have to swallow your pride because this night HAS to be fun for the bride and as drama-free as possible for her. So just kill this catty friend with kindness (at least for tonight).

Afterwards....now that's another story should you want to email her a piece of your mind. But just hold off till after the wedding.

i would tell your friend the bride that it's her night and you will not be the one to create drama. you have to blow off what that other girl said about you for one night. and be sweet and normal to the biotch.

i know it *****, but it's about your friend so I would just try to reassure her that she doesn't need to worry. and it's a good thing that this girl isn't in the BP! if she has issues with you she should deal with you directly, not talk s h i t behind your back and NOT get your friend involved! this should be a fun night for everyone.

yeah, definitely apologize! that would be really a good move, since your her MOH. I know if my MOH did something and then apologized about it i'd be so much happier (though she's my sister, so i would tell her if it really upset me).

just tell her you overreacted and it's really no big deal.

seriously, i know how it is and it's one of the reasons i don't have many girl friends... i just can't deal with cattiness and i'm so confrontational that if something bothers me i'll tell you straight out, so if people talk about me behind my back i FLIP out!

Dude, I'm right there with ya!!! My mom asked for my shower list and I realized that the older I get, the more I 'weed' out drama folks from my life!!! I don't have the mental energy to deal. This girl who is catty is her friend from camp and needless to say she acts as if she's still a camper....LOL

We're going to Essex restaurant on the Lower East Side and then we're going to The Slipper Room for a burlesque show! Tomorrow we're heading to LI to get mani/pedi and then see 27 Dresses and go out to Sushi. Sunday is her shower!!!

omg me too! my sister is like why do you have a question mark next to so and so on your shower list (one of my oldest friends) and I'm like well, she is kind of NUTS and man-needy and crazy and I haven't spoken to her in months and I don't want her drama! Our priorities totally change when we get older.

that sounds fun! LES is always a fun spot to hang out. though i'm NOT going to lie - tomorrow sounds even more fun!!

ugh, two?? aiding and abetting ONE cheating louse isn't enough??

i had so many crazy friends in my day. I'm down to about 1.5 (the .5 being the ? on my shower list) I have a crazier one out in CA. And my ex best friend from years ago flipped on me for no reason and completely stopped talking to me. i was devastated - she wouldn't return my calls or tell me why. a few years later i ran into her at the revlon walk in the city and she totally apologized said she was crazy, and started emailing me. I was polite but ultimately like I've moved on - I don't need this friendship anymore. Mind you, I was supposed to be in her wedding.

sorry for the long rant, but a little background why i avoid female friends! fh makes fun of me all the time but I'm like i have my sisters - they are my best friends!

That's why, my MOH is my cousin and sister in law! The closest I have to sisters!!!
