Subject: Dollar Dance

Ladies, I am paying the exorbitant amount of $75 a head at Oheka Castle on a Saturday night. Should I have a dollar dance to offset the cost? What do you think? Or maybe a cash bar?

TIA.

Damn, I am bored.

There's no way you could be paying that at Oheka!

How could you call her a ?
She could be a REAL BRIDE and now she will cry and be very offended and this thread will go on and on and on...

LMAO this is the best thread of good laughs in a long time

i think you should let her come to the wedding!!
she can do a pole dance during the cocktail hour!!
oh - oh....you can tell her that you'll split the proceeds with her...she can keep 10% !!! you'll come out a winner $$ wise!!!

You know, I never thought about it that way. I mean, she is talented and entertainment that pays for itself sounds a heck of lot better than forking over cash for some string musicians! I would even split with her 80-20. I'll have to talk to the banquet manager about the pole...

Help!

My Second Cousins Stepdaughters foster child is offended we did not ask her to be our flower girl. We have only met her one time. And we do not even know her name. My Second Cousins Mom (My Cousin) will not come if we do not ask this girl to be in our wedding.

What do we do??

If you really trust your bridal party, I have a recommendation that just might work! First, you need to swear your bridal party, the potential flower girl and her parents to complete secrecy. The fact that you don't know her name might even be a good thing because it will help in this covert endeavor.

Have your BMs train her to be your flower girl but tell no one that there is even a flower girl. Claim to anyone who will listen that you think that using a flower girl is like child labor and that it disgusts you.

At your ceremony, you will need to pick one BM (could be your MOH but not nec) to be the one to bring the flower girl into the venue in secret and give her final instructions on her role.

Then, when the flowergirl comes walking down the aisle, EVERYBODY including your second cousin's mom will be totally surprised! Of course you will be smiling because it was your plan all along! Think of all the fantastic candids your photographer will get!

In order for this to work, it is imperative that secrecy be maintained. If a BM violates this oath in anyway, she should be shamed in front of the other BMs so that they all understand the ramifications of their actions.

Good Luck!

I think your florist could take care of obtaining the pole. In fact, she might be able to put some tasteful white roses on the top portion of it, you know, where the dancing will not cause them to wilt......

Thanks! The banquet manager insisted that it needed to be freestanding. Maybe one of the sturdier floral arch rentals will work? Heck at this rate, I might as well look into a cage for her to dance in. Then I could use it as a card holder too!

Exactly! Put her to work -- you should get 100% of the proceeds since it's your wedding. What's more, you can sell tons of copies of your wedding video -- it's the gift that keeps on giving!

And, if you make enough, you won't need the dollar dance after all!

whats Great is that AFTER the wedding, and after you open all the cards that are in that cage, you can buy a parrot and put it in there, as I am sure he will love the trapeze!
