Drapes for uplighting -- pls help

Hi ladies,
the room where I'm having our ceremony has mirrors everywhere (which strangely I didn't seem to remember until I visited the venue last week). I want uplighting and it wont work with the mirrors, so am considering putting drapes around the room and doing the uplighting against that.

Has anyone does this before? or have a pic, quote or vendor?
