We are getting married at Woodbury Country Club in the garden room and would like to have tulle draped from the ceiling. I was quoted a price of $1,000 by a vendor, which seems CRAZY to me. Is anyone doing the same decoration at WCC or somewhere else? How much are you paying? Please share because I want to know if I am being unrealistic by expecting to spend less. Thanks.

Re: Draping tulle from celiling
I was given several quotes for draping organza from the ceiling, ranging from 1,000-1,500.
I told the florist that I finally chose that I didn't want to spend more than $1,000 on ceiling decoration. He said he would try to do it for less and that we'd agree on a final amount after he got the exact measurements of the room and drew me a few pictures of the different ways he could hang the fabric.
It's expensive, but maybe you could cut back on other aspects for your floral budget to make it work.
Good luck!

When we were looking at halls for our engagement party...most places said that if we purchased the toule, they would take care of hanging it up for us. Ask WCC if they would do that for you, Im sure you could save a good amt that way!

Im using Pedestals too and they are charging me more than that. I know they charged me more than others because I was doing my own centerpieces, which really makes no sense to me at all.

Re: Draping tulle from celiling
I have a friend who got married at Crest Hollow....they wanted to charge her a lot of money to do it...
halls think b/c your young & in love that they can take advantage of you and jack up prices (sometimes)
therefore, this couple told them that they were going to go home and string their underwear together and hang it from the ceiling...the guy they were dealing with didnt like that answer and bargained with them...untill..........
it was included in the price (the person before them bought it or something, and they kept it hanging)
it's frustrating...you hear these stories... I LOVE TOOLE ! IT'S SO INEXPENSIVE...why charge so much...they must be out of their freaking gourd.

Ladies, thanks so much for your responses. I will try to bargain with WCC. It's crazy because my florist is the one quoting me that horrific price.

Did you find out about prices for the tulle? Will they do it if you purchase it?
