Love them mainly because I love horror movies but they never scare me but my nightmares do.

I hate scary dreams, but I do love scary movies. I guess the difference with watching a scary movie is that I already know what I'm in for, and I have control of the situation - I know it's going to be scary and that I can just shut it off or walk away at any time. Scary dreams are another thing altogether. I don't know I'm goign to have a scary dream when I go to sleep at night - I'm just expecting to get a good night's sleep and hopefully enjoy some dreams while I'm at it. Scary dreams freak me out for two reasons -
1. they are coming from my own mind! I've had some really horrible dreams in the past - so what does that say about the inner workings of my brain?!
2. I'm always afraid there's a shred of truth to them. Last year I had a dream that my sister and I were on the LIRR going into the city when a man came into our car shooting everyone, and my sister was shot! !!! Terrfied me for a whole week bc it's somethign that could happen at anytime!
