Dress Alteration other than Phyllis

Hi Girls,
I have a big dilema right now. When I called Phyllis at the end of April, a different lady answered the phone and told me that I'm too early for alteration. She told me to call the end of May to make appt for alteration. Well, I just got off the phone with the place, the lady (not Phyllis) told me that I'm too late for alteration!
So now I'm stuck. I only had Phyllis in mind to alter my wedding dress since I just need cups sewed in and my bustle done. Another reason is because I keep on hearing about how great she is.

Can someone recommend another person that will do a great job with alteration and cost reasonable? Preferably under $150.

I'm not sure why it's 'too late' you still have over a month. When I called her back in January she told me eventually she would stop taking dresses she didn't sell so maybe that's why ?? Sorry i'm no help because I found her on here and didn't research anyone else. Good luck.

no, I think I know why.... they get really busy doing all the june and july dresses, so they're booked solid. It's a zoo in their alterations dept these days

that's very unfortunate.... she shouldn't have told you to call back later in the month....

Try Cathy- she is a vendor on this site- I believe you can find her under dresses- she is revamping my mom's dress and absolutely wonderful to work with!
