I am buying my dress tomorrow!! And I think I will need to decide if I wanna get my dress altered at the store or elsewhere. My mother-in-law says she has someone who is very good, and worked at Kleinfelds for years, and will charge me less than what the store will charge me. What do you gals think??

Alterations figure in huge w me. They can really add up. Thats why i sorta wanna order from fantasia. They cap at $300. Not sure about paradise though. I like them too and they have my dress.

KIeinfeld's has a great alteration department but their alerations are $$$600 so if you know someone that worked there and charges less I would go with her. and I would share her info with neeks please because i got ,my dress at klenfelds and im not sure if I will be using them for alterations lol

i believe paradise caps @ 250 but it is $10 per point on the bustle... I will check my contract.

yup - Paradise is $250 cap for alterations and $10 per point on the bustle and $15 french.

same here! I would love her info too! I have my dress, and need to find a place for alterations too!

I am going to get alterations done where I got my dress and Ill tell you why... If they mess anything up its their problem and they would have to fix it or replace the dress... If you take it else where and something god forbid happens Im not sure what you could do at that point... It happened to my cousins friend... She picked her dress up and brought it to another alterations place. They did the alterations however some of the fabric had some runs through it that were very noticeable... The lady there told her that they were there when she brought it in which they werent... She ended up having to get another dress which she had to cover the cost.
If you know the alterations person though then thats awesome!
