Dress Altertations-Who to Use?

Dress Altertations-Who to Use?

I bought my dress my David's Bridal and I have heard mixed reviews. I have decided to go with someone private. Before I do, I would like to do some investigation. Can anyone offer names of people or places for me to call? I am VERY petite and my dress basically needs to be cut in half! HAHA. So I need some good work here! Names and Numbers would be greatly appreciated. FM me if you feel more comfortable.

BTW, I'm getting mine from RK Bridal and just realized (I really think it's true) that they order a size larger so, they can alter it for you.. it's like $300 something... all my other girlfriends find RK doing the same to them.. sometimes, two sizes larger...

Wouldnt she only want to deal with a customer who has purchased a gown from where she is? Would I be able to have to my alterations?

I am using Phyllis to alter mydressb/c we ordered the BM dresses through her, but you may want to call her just to find out!

I did not buy my dress from her and she is altering it for me! She has been great so far. :)

Would you know her price range for sizing down on a strapless wedding gown?

I went with Filomena's dressmaking in Coram. She has done great stuff in the past for me on BM dresses. I can tell you in a week if my bridal gown is right! But you might want to FM me if you want more info. My brain is fried now that I am less than 1 week. EEK!
