Dress anxiety??

Dress anxiety??

Is anyone else second-guessing their dress choice? I've been surfing online, and found a dress I love, but I bought my dress already. Uggghhh! I hope I made the right decision!

Aw, it's hard NOT to second dress your dress choice after it's been a while since you've had it on. I'm sure you made the right choice. Remember that dresses don't always look the same in person as they do in pictures and ads. Also a dress may look totally different on you than it does on the model. Just remember that you bought the dress for a reason! Obviously you felt beautiful in it. (and I bet your FH will think you're beautiful in it too!)

I agree as well!!
Sometimes I see some online but I remember how I tried on almost every style (like a-line, mermaid, ball gown, etc) and my gown looks best on me. They definitely look totally different in pictures vs on YOU!

THIS EXACTLY! I started to second guess my dress because rude people had stupid, uninformed opinions. My dress has an asymmetrical top, similar to the top of Angelina's Oscar dress (everyone talked about her leg, but I was looking at the top of her dress), and as soon as I saw that I almost died! I found my dress WAY before the Oscars and my 'friend' insulted the top of it, then I saw Ang's dress and burst out laughing..

Then, when I went for my first fitting 2 weeks ago, I fell in love with it...it was more beautiful that I remembered!

Don't stress...and don't look at any more dresses!

Thanks for bringing me back to reality, ladies. I've also had several nightmares about the dress! I hope it comes in soon so I can go and try it on...I'm not looking at other dresses on purpose, btw. Just on wedding websites and can't help it!

All of these ladies are right!

I, personally, made the mistake of going to Kleinfeld's after I had already bought my dress, and fell in love with a dress that was entirely different after I had already bought mine. It did make me a little upset when I had to walk away, but I'm glad I did.

Sticking with my first dress was the best decision I ever made, though. Sort of like in a relationship, you can always find someone else, but when you come back to your man you remember why you chose him in the first place. I put on my original dress and my mom started to cry.

Go with your gut :)

This is so true. I am scared for this to happen also, maybe that is why I haven't bought a dress yet
But I have been told, once you get your dress to stop looking because you will drive yourself crazy!! Good Luck

Re: Dress anxiety??

yes! the dress I got was a dress that if i looked at the picture in a catalog i totally wouldn't have picked it. After I had already gotten it i had total dress regret. But after my first fitting i remembered why I liked the dress so much so I feel better about it now. Plus i keep thinking im only going to wear it for one day! So it is fine and I no longer have dress regret, but i totally hear where you are coming from!

I kept looking at dresses in pics and online...and I was doing this as well. But when I tried it on again...and it was fitted to me...and then saw it the day of I don't know how I ever second guessed it!

I think it's all the choices, and that new dresses are coming out constantly. Also, you order it like a year before the wedding!!

Yes and I stopped looking! It helped.... I'm getting married this weekend, there's no turning back now. Just think....there's a reason why you chose the dress to begin with. No matter what dress ur are wearing u will look beautiful!
