Dress Anxiety (pics)

Original post by jovigirl414

Hey Ladies ...

I was bored before and started looking at reviews for my dress. While EVERY review I read had nothing but good things to say, I am still having some dress anxiety. I just feel there really is no WOW factor to it (I'm a gaudy Italian, lol) ... and I'm really worried that the design along the belt line looks too much like snowflakes - my wedding is in August. Would you ladies mind telling me your thoughts?

edit - I have no idea why the file sizes are too large ... Until I figure this out, if you go on David's Bridal's website, the dress # is CT314

Thanks .. I took a vote at work today asking a bunch of people what they thought the belt looked like, and the results were 7-3 in favor of the belt NOT looking like snowflakes ... so that made me happy! Of course, the guys were the only ones who thought it actually did look like a snowflake!

Thank you ... I can definitely say it was very flattering, and it was the most comfortable dress I tried on, even after I fell off a chair in it (yep, that happened in the store)

I might not even bother trying anything else on ... I'm just gonna go try it on with my veil once I pick it up, and hopefully fall in love again

I was soooo close to buying this dress. It is very flattering and I loved how it looked with the bustle! I went with a different dress mostly because I wanted a corset back to match my bridesmaids dresses. (yes, i picked their dresses first) But here are some pictures of me in the dress (size 14). Good luck!!!!

its a beautiful gown i wouldnt worry about it your going to feel gorgesous on your wedding day no matter what.

regarding the size again i wouldnt worry i fully believe the bridal designers must be in some type of cahoots with the diet and fitness industry and thats why they jack up the sizes on these gowns just to make us already insecure brides feel worse, you an always do what i do when i dont like the size the tags says and cut that puppy right out the dress!

the dress is STUNNING and if you read the reviews you got to see some of the pictures that other girls posted and it looks so preetty on them too!
I say go for it! the belt does not look like snowflakes at all!

I think the dress if very pretty! I actually tried that one on as well. I don't think they band looks like snowflakes at all!! People don't analyze a brides dress that seriously lol.

First off, you look INCREDIBLE in that gown!!! Love it!!

Can I make a suggestion that might help you fall in love with it more? Explore different bustle options. For example, with the detail on your train, something like a Three Point Over Bustle might show off the embellishment better. Its so gorgeous...don't hide it!

Yes, I am either going to do the 3pt over-bustle, or the ballroom bustle!

ps- that wasn't me in the pics, lol ... but thanks anyway!
