So I was wondering when everyone had the first fitting? How far ahead of your date? My wedding is January 18th, we are about two months away now. I am starting to panic about not getting my dress in time, and my fittings. I think it is just wedding related stress. I called the dress store today, and they couldn't tell me, because the office gals are not in on the weekend. I am going to call first thing on Monday. Should I be this nervous? I think I may just making myself a little nuts.

My shop told me that the first fitting is 2 months away from the date. Second fitting is 1 month and and 3 fitting is 10 days before.
Listen, don't panic. It's better to have all fittings done before the wedding because almost every bride I knows loses a ton of weight the last 2 weeks before the wedding.

I ordered from paradise bridal in patchogue (sp?) It is a symphony gown. Posted a pic in my photos, the color is not right, my dress is cafe (darker ivory).

Thanks for the advice. Your right. I will prob drop like crazy from the stress. I will call on Monday. I am not so much worried about the fittings, as I am of knowing it is here and I have it. I much rather know it is taking up room at my parents house, than be waiting for it. I will relax. Thanks again.

Update the store said the manfact will be done with my dress by the end of nov begin of dec. Also said I start my fittings 4 weeks before the wedding. Ok so that calmed me for a sec, and then made me go four weeks really that late?

Trust me, you are probably better off to have it that close to the wedding. Most girls really lose a ton of weight at the end. So, the closer, the better.

I'm getting married January 3 and I'm not having my 1st fitting until Nov 29. I think having your 1st fitting one month before is perfectly fine.

My friend, who's getting married Jan 10 and got her dress from Paradise, finally got her dress in last week. So I'm sure it's soon for you too.
