So I'm spending my Sunday being a little housewife and cleaning since we're getting a new couch with say yes to the dress on in the background.
This girl just had her fiance drop over 50k ON HER DRESSES. Yes. Dresses. Plural. Two dresses. She also was getting married at Oheka castle.
So that made me wonder...
What is everyones dress budget??

Dress budget?
My mother is paying for my dress. She said $1,000 originally. But she got a really good tax return because I worked off the books last year and she claimed me so she bumped it up to $1,500.
My mom offered to pay for about half my dress or about as much as she can. I set a budget for about 2k INCLUDING alterations so I figured about 1500 for about the actual dress.

I chose the 1500-3K option, but there's no way I'm going over 2K! Especially when there's the veil/alterations/shoes etc. There are so any nice dresses under 2K that I don't think I'll have a problem.
Btw - I saw that episode of Say Yes to the Dress. Some people are too much! That groom will be paying for his wife the rest of his life!!

You can definitely find an amazing dress for that price. The dress I'm currently in love with is from David's bridal and about $700. My mom likes that lol.

I originally thought I could keep it under 3k, but I put a deposit on one dress then had to cancel, and lost the $600 deposit, then bought a dress for 3.5k so I went over...things happen!

My budget for my dress was 2k and there are definitely plenty of options for that budget. Ladygoodman, which dress are you thinking of getting from DB? Btw, you have FM. :)

The dress that I'm looking at is just over 1,000. This is the one thing I'm willing to spend the money on because I do want a designer dress since now I can fit into one. I used to be much heavier (Like a size 28 so like a bridal... 34) and now I'm about a size 10/12 so like a bridal 14/16 :)

I would love to stay as close to $1000 as possible but would go up to 2k if I felt like I really needed to.

I bought my dress at a trunk show for less than 1K, I originally didn't want to go over $500 but I loved this dress so I pushed it a little. And for less than 1K I was able to get the dress, a faux fur wrap, and a my DOJ

I'm paying for the dress myself, and it's the one thing I'm doing for myself, so I set a 'loose' budget of $3000, which it looks like, based on my taste when I've been dress shopping, I'm probably going to go over.
At first I felt guilty but now I'm ok with it because I work my butt off, and I would just spend the money I have been saving on regular clothing, so I don't feel that bad anymore.

I didn't set a definitive budget because I wasn't sure how much it would cost for what I like. My sister's wedding dress was GORGEOUS and was $700 so I am hoping and praying that I can find something max $2,000 so we shall see.

Wow, my mom gave me a budget of $200 on a dress and that was after pleading. I'm really jealous people have so much money to spend on a dress!

I haven't tried on dresses yet so I'm not sure what a realistic budget is. I would LOVE to spend under 2k though! I like to think it's doable. ;)

The dress I'm eyeing is 1300...hoping to stay below 2500 for alterations, shoes, jewelry and veil.
