Now I know there have been many threads about dress budget and everyone seem (or most seem and sorry if I am incorrect) to be at 1000 for their dress. That is pretty much my budget as well.
I made a appointment with Bridal Reflection in Carle Place and that was one of the lady on the phone first questions she asked. When I told her 1g to the MOST 2g (not really but just said it to her) she replied well ours dresses start from 1500 and up. Are you sure you want to come here? She tried to recover from that and say we will do our best to suit your needs.... etc ..etc
My question is... what store did you guys go to with dress in those price ranges?
Thanks In advance....
Perhap we start a thread of bridal gown stores ?
I went to Macy's Manhasset and fell in love with a few dresses by Demetrios..

Re: Dress Budget
I have not started looking yet but i know the bridal reflections in Carle Place for some reason has much more expensive designers than the one in NYC... im honestly going to be looking for a Maggie (which as i have heard are very budget friendly) and the only bridal reflections that carry he is in the city...

Re: Dress Budget
I Believe bridal reflections in carle place, cater's more to higher end dresses. If you call them looking for lower end they will probably try to send you to massapequa. What range are you looking for .. I got my dress at kleinfelds but village bridal and paradise bridal has pretty reasonable prices but they are all out east

Re: Dress Budget
The dresses I'm considering are by Alfred Angelo, and he's on the lower end of the price scale when it comes to dresses. My max budget is 1k as well, but I hope to not go over $800.
What I did was check out AA's website, and entered my zip in the 'find a location near you'.
About 30 stores came up in the 25 mile radius.
I'd personally check out Helen's Private Collections, Bridal Suite of Huntington, Bridal Elegance in Dix Hills, or the Bridal Suite of Centereach. They are more accommodating to us girls on a budget.

Re: Dress Budget
My budget was the same as yours, around 1K-1500, but in my eyes, the less expensive the better Definitely try the BR in massapequa. I also went to Davids, the one is Massapequa is supposed to be much better than all the rest. I know Davids is thought to be 'cheap' gowns, but they really have beautiful and well made stuff there. I ended up getting one from Davids and with dress and accessories it came out to about $600. And its gorgeous, IMO Have fun shopping!

Re: Dress Budget
All the dresses I looked at were between 1000-1500.00. I got my dress i a place in NJ, but I also looked at Lilette's, RK bridal in the city and a couple of places in Brooklyn. But my dress was a maggie sottero, and that's the only designer i looked at. Most maggie dress are between 1000-1500.00.

Re: Dress Budget
They told me the same thing when I first started looking, but immediately redirected me to the Massapequa store. I found them to be very helpful, though I wouldn't do BM dresses there...had a bad experience with nasty salespeople from another wedding.
But I had no problem with them when wedding dress shopping, just didn't find anything I loved. Bumped up my price to $3000, went over to Carle Place and found the perfect dress
