Now I know there have been many threads about dress budget and everyone seem (or most seem and sorry if I am incorrect) to be at 1000 for their dress. That is pretty much my budget as well.
I made a appointment with Bridal Reflection in Carle Place and that was one of the lady on the phone first questions she asked. When I told her 1g to the MOST 2g (not really but just said it to her) she replied well ours dresses start from 1500 and up. Are you sure you want to come here? She tried to recover from that and say we will do our best to suit your needs.... etc ..etc
My question is... what store did you guys go to with dress in those price ranges?
Thanks In advance....
Perhap we start a thread of bridal gown stores ?
I went to Macy's Manhasset and fell in love with a few dresses by Demetrios..

Re: Dress Budget
I live in queens so mostly I have been dress shopping in the city. I've been shopping for a private label by g dress and he places I've checked (RK Bridal, Alexandria iin forest hills queens) carry their line for 1000 or more. Same goes for some Maggie Sottereo lines. I know somepeople don't like RK bridal because its really crowded on the weekend but trust me, go on a weekday and its completely empty! For the discount they offer its worth it!

Re: Dress Budget
I ended up getting my dress at Village bridal in babylon. I first saw the dress at RK bridal for a great price and called village bridal to see if they will match the price and they beat it.
Make sure you hagle on the price of the gown. Tell 1 store another store offered it to you for less and make up a number. I did it and got like $400 off of my dress

Re: Dress Budget
Lilletes! My dress was 950 before they charged tax and the hollow hem. And their caps are 250 for alterations and what not.

Re: Dress Budget.....UPDATE
I called Bridal Reflections in NYC and informed her that my dress budget is $1,500. She said that dresses in the NYC store start from $1,800. The dresses in the Massapequa store start from $1,000 and the ones in Carle Place start from $1,500.
I asked her if the same dresses in NYC are in the the Long Island locations and she stated that all three stores have different styles and may not have the same dresses. I am not sure how I feel about that, but I still made an appointment with them.
The consultant was really nice and said that she will try to find me a dress and will 'work with me.' We'll see!!!
