Dress Bustle

I have a question about my dress bustle. When you enter your RH & your about to dance your first dance should your dress already be bustled or still down? I have seen it both ways & I don’t know which way is better. The last wedding I went too the bride had hers still down & she was holding it while dancing which she looked so uncomfortable doing & you actually saw all the tulle under her dress which I didn’t like. Any suggestions ladies? What is everyone else doing?

I had mine bustled. I had gone to a wedding 2 weeks before mine and the bride had her train down. She was sweeping the floor with it and it wasn't laying down right because she was dancing.

I think it's great to walk in with your dress all out - some people may not have been at your ceremony so they may not have seen it all out.

However, I HATE the idea of carrying around the train - it always looks uncomfortable and to be honest, sometimes it does not look pretty b/c you can see the netting under the skirt. I think I'm going to leave it down for the cocktail hour and then have it bustled before we get announced for the reception.

I didn't have a bustle since I had a detachable train, which was removed before going into our reception for the first dance.

Thanks girls!! My girlfriend looked so umcomfortable dancing with her dress down. And it looks horrible seeing all the netting so I think I'll wear it down to the cocktail hour & have it bustled right before we walk in. Thanks again

I say do what you like more comftorable doing!
Who cares whatever everyone else is doing. Though just to give my opinion, I think the bustle should be up. For reasons that you state. Your gown is beautiful by the way!

mine was already bustled before we were announced in. my DOC made sure of it!

BUSTLE it FIRST! I did not, b/c my bridal attendant kept telling me not too. I wanted to bustle it before CH but she kept telling me to keep it down, and I wish I had insisted. Thats really t he only thing I would have done differently that day.
