Dress concerns (Kinda Long)

Dress concerns (Kinda Long)

I have been a little panicky about my dress lately. My bridal shop has not given me a straight answer about when my dress will be in, or when I can expect to have my 1st finals, etc. I told her that I need to know, because like an idiot, I scheduled my wedding stuff to happen in the middle of mid-terms and the week before I take my GMAT's...

At any rate, then I see a few girls on here are having problems with dresses that are discontinued, etc. I keep trying to find my dress online, but I cannot find it & now I am worried that it is one of the discontinued ones. As a metter of fact, the first shoes I saw in the store that I wanted were discontinued, but yet the salesgirl put them back on display anyway!!!

I really don't know what to do... I asked them if they ordered the dress, if they know if it is discontinued or not & they will not tell me!!

I am totally freaking.

Call them again and demand to know when the dress is coming in!!! Or call the manufacturer yourself and ask them!!!!

You need to go down there and not leave until they tell you! This is extremely important! If I were you, I would not waste another moment. Get down there tomorrow if you can. That's ridiculous that they will not give you info on it. Make a big, big deal, ESPECIALLY when there are other customers in the store! Good Luck!

Re: Dress concerns (Kinda Long)

I can see why you are concerned...some stores do not order a dress until 8-10 months in advanced...so that they can hold onto the money and eran interest...but I think they would have to order it for you by now...(you are in jan...right?)

there are a few things you can do...

1. ask them if they ordered the dress with the manufacturer...flat out...if they lie and it turns out that they didn't...they will have bigger problems...

2. call the manufacturer themselves...

good luck...

Does anyone know how to find the info to contact Maggie Sotero?

I did demand...sort of. I am not really a push-over, but I did already order my BM dresses from them & they are ordered w/no problems.... I do not want to have to go elsewhere or to re-order their dresses, ya know?

They should have a website.

Do you have someone who is not afraid to get loud? If so take them with you!!!

Re: Dress concerns (Kinda Long)

I got this off the Maggie site

Q. Has my dress been ordered?

A. Maggie Sottero has no way of tracking personal orders the best way to find out would be to contact the retailer you have been working through and ask them if they have ordered your gown.

So go to the shop and demand to know what is going on!!!!!!

May I ask which salon you are working with??

i would definitely ask them to show your proof that they actually ordered your dress. i would think at this point, it would have to at least be ordered.

don't leave until you get a straight answer!! go down tomorrow - since it's a weekend, it'll probably be packed and they will want to help you before you turn others off from their store.

keep us posted!!!!

I am working with Princess Bridals in Farmingdale. I also have to tell you, they asked for 1/2 the $$ down to order the dress, which I gave them, and now they are telling me the need 1/2 of the $$ for the entire order to order JUST THE DRESS! I feel like I am cornered

Re: Dress concerns (Kinda Long)

You should NOT give them the other half of the money until your fittings begin I believe, at the very least until your dress is in.

Tell them you want a copy of the order slip and/or a confirmation slip that this was ordered.

I know when I called Private label they told me same thing--can't track personal orders can't tell you whether or not it was ordered, without the stores consent. I asked if they could tell me whether or not my dress had been discontinued and when and they told me. Because I was HYSTERICAL, they remembered me. So that when I started working with another salon the Manuf. was really willing to help out and was a lot more accomadating. Make yourself known. I have learned that when it comes to Bridal Salon being a BRIDZILLA is the way to be!

I try really hard to control my very very bad temper... but I think this may be an acceptable exception!
