Dress deposit...how much?
Im starting in two weeks, Yippee!! But I was just curious to know how much they ask you to leave as a deposit.

Yup - same here - once you place the order it's 50% upfront then the remaining 50% at the first fitting - for me anyway.

They all want 50% but I haggled that too and only put about 15% down

50% when I ordered the dress, and then 50% of the remaining balance (plus alternations) at my first fitting and the rest at the next fitting.

Mine was %50 and then I need to give the remaining balance 3 weeks before the wedding date.

If you go to David's bridal, you have to pay it in full for them to order it.

50% of the dress... not including the alterations... then when I went for my fitting today we paid off the rest of the balance...

I believe it was 50% of the cost of the dress WITHOUT alterations and all the exta stuff.
