I went dress shopping the other day. It was only suppose to be for my maid of honor's dress. However, when we got there I could not resist trying on gowns. The fifth dress I tried on I fell in love with and I ended up buying it. Both my mother (who was also there) and my maid of honor said I made the right choice. But, now feel somewhat cheated because all of the excitement is gone and I am not getting married until next October. I thought I was going to get to try on tons of gowns. Did I make the wrong decision?

I found my dress online, went to a store, tried it on and bought it...
I tried on other gowns after just to 'make sure' but I also felt sort of cheated in that the first one I tried on was THE dress.
HOWEVER... now I look at my wedding pics and just LOVE it so so so much and I know then and now that I made the right decision.

I agree with this...be happy you found THE DRESS and now you get to concentrate on all the other details of your wedding!!!

I found my dress online, then tried it on and fell in love. I instantly knew it was 'the one' but my sister made me try on 3-4 other dresses. Nothing compared. Then I went to a Vera Wang sample sale, because it was Vera Wang, and nothing compared. I tried on @ a dozen more dresses but all I did was compare them to the first dress - so I bought it.
That was August 2005. My wedding is this October. I subscribed to Brides and Modern Bride and I see all the dresses with each new issue. Nothing I have seen has made me second guess my choice.

My dress was the first one I tried on. I went to one store, tried on three others, and knew the first one was the dress. Sometimes you just know it's the ONE. And there will be tons of other exciting things about planning your wedding and the outfit (veil, tiara, shoes, jewelry, etc.).

hey Kelly...I can't believe you found your dress already...that's great! I haven't even went to try any on yet. Trust me you know when you have found the right dress and don't worry there will be plenty of other exciting things during your planning process.

I tried on a total of 7 dresses -#7 was it! But yes I also felt cheated. I wouldn't dare go on and try now because I found the perfect dress and don't want to second guess myself.

I got my dress over a year before the wedding. So glad I did!!!!!
