I have a lovely and pretty expensive bridesmaid dress that I wore last weekend. Anyone know of a place where I can donate it? I googled but could not find any place local.
TIA!

Re: Dress Donations
You should ask your church or temple. I know mine takes used bridesmaids dresses and cleans them up and has a Prom Boutique for girls that can't afford pricy prom dresses. Thats where I donate all my bridesmaid dresses that I'll never wear again!

Re: Dress Donations
I heard of a place in the city. I think its called bridal garden or something like that. you donate the dress and they sell it and the money goes to a charity.

Re: Dress Donations
A lot of high schools have a program where you can donate for prom for the kids who can't afford it.
Call any outreach program and they should have a place for you.. or they'll find one for you.

Re: Dress Donations
John F. Kennedy High School in Bellmore. They have a 'Becca's Closet' chapter there which gives dresses to girls who cant afford one for the prom.

Re: Dress Donations
You should try The Bridal Garden in the city. My friend got her dress there - they take donations, as well as samples, and whatever they re-sell, all proceeds go to NYC schoolchildren. here's a link:
