DRESS DRAMA!!!!!!!!!

OK.....so heres the deal

A while ago, I posted that i wasnt happy with my dress...i didnt know what was wrong, i just didnt like it like i did when i bought it. The beading seemed lighter, but i thought i just didnt remember correctly b/c it had been so long since i last saw my dress.

Today......
i went with my mother to see my dress again hoping i would like it more. I had it on and i was looking around.....and i saw MY DRESS....meanig the one i had ordered, with dark silver beading and embroidery. I WAS RIGHT! THE DRESS I HAD WAS A DIFFERENT COLOR THAN THE ONE I HAD ORDERD!!!!!!!!!
I was hysterical. The bridal shop says they will call ther manufacturer....but it took 8 mos for this dress to come in in the first place...I HATE THE DRESS COLOR I HAVE NOW. It just looks so drap on me w/ my skin color (more of a goldish/light silver tint).

I'll keep you all updated...but im so upset!

Update #1:
I went looking for another dress today b/c it didnt look positive..and I found one that I LOVE, so i called the 1st bridal shop and spoke with the owner to say I am uncomfortable waiting for you to re order the dress, I live out of state, that wont work. She said 'NO, you will NOT get your money back, we are in a contract' (TO GET THE CORRECT DRESS IN!!!!!!!!!!!!) The she continues, 'I am working with a bride and can not talk to you now, i will call you monday morning' I respond OK, I understand the bride deserves your full attention, but can you call me when you are finished working with her to discuss this further b/c i am very upset abou tthis situation. She says no and ended the convo with me...I AM SOOO MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This happened to someone my mom works with...they only caught it because this lady went to the shop to show someone her daughter's dress...only to find it was a completely different dress they had ordered

Which bridal shop did this? They should pay for it to be rush ordered and give you some money back! They screwed up...you can always go to small claims court...if it can't be done (and since you know this is the wrong dress...I would seriously consider it)

I'm really sorry you have to go through this. But you should be able to get your money back - they breached the contract by not getting the right dress in the first place. I would contact my credit card company or the BBB immediately. Sometimes a little pressure makes businesspeople do the right thing.

Sweetie, I am so sorry to hear about this! Good luck tomorrow..,. be firm with what you want. YOU are the customer and are right. The fact of the matter is- THEY messed up and you should not have to pay for their mistake. Be strong sweetie and keep us posted!

OMG, that's horrible!!!!!!!! I can't beleive they actually ordered you the wrong dress and are giving you a hard time about it!!!!! Stay on top of them and hopefully this will all get resolved quickly!!!!

So the owner said she would call me today....NO CALL!!!! surprise surprise. COntacted the Credit Card company and they will be issuing a credit (send a written letter for the dispute today) and then taking it up further with Adriennes and their bank. I didnt call her b/c Id rather let the credit card company handle it from here...already anough stress! but ill let you know when i hear ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!

Stand your ground - this salon has a reputation of doing this. NEVER have I heard of a bride having a positive experience there. My cousin who got married in 05 experienced the SAME exact thing - they had to re-order her dress 2X!!

The owner is unprofessional and incompetent. Every time I'm in there (I live local so I have been in there numerous times as a Bride and BM), she is giving some poor unhappy customer a lame excuse.

I am so sorry you are going through this, and even madder at this salon. My mom got her MOB dress there, and it was nothing but a nightmare. We had to end up buying the sample off the rack b/c of their F$&K Ups.

Hang in there, and STAND YOUR GROUND. She will cave. Then write a letter to the BBB.
