I was told my dress would be in yesterday.. and its not. Now its probaly wed or thur of next week so they scheduled my first fitting for Aug 31st. This seems really late to me. Are they going to have time (3 weeks) to do all the alterations that are going to be needed? and fit me in for multiple fittings?? I already know the dress is going to be absolutely HUGE on me.

Plenty of time. They can do alterations in less than a week.

and if you have major alterations they can still me done in short time....Id say if you have 2 solid weeks you are good.
edited......because you don't want to get fitted too soon cause you might drop weight at the last minute from stress.

4-6 weeks before the wedding is the EARLIEST they will start however less tahn that is perfectly fine too! You have PLENTY of time! No need to worry!

You have time. My first fitting was 8/6 and the second one today. The dress fits perfect, they will have it ready in time for you

ahhh Jenny... im beginnign to feel the opposite of you now... i feel like i have too much time!! my first fitting is sept 12th and my wedding is nov 6th. so thats just short of 8 weeks.

I was freaking out just like you before my wedding. I thought the appt was too late. Don't worry you will be fine. They know how much time they need. I was fine, and I went for two fittings.
