Dress Fittings

Can anyone tell me how long in advance should fittings be started???

My dress was ordered a size larger cause we are changing the back of it... I was wondering how long in advance I should start my fittings. My wedding is Oct 29th. I was thinking of going early August maybe end of July.

When I called they told me 4 weeks from the wedding date, I feel like thats cutting it close but I guess they are the experts!

i just made my fittings and im the week after you

first fitting 8/30
second fitting 9/20
third fitting 9/30

dress pick up 10/5

i told my salon that my wedding was a month earlier than it was because i was worried about it coming in on time

I was told 2 months before the wedding - but I'm not changing anything on my dress

my store told me 4 weeks in advance. but they did me a favor and had it come in much earlier and scheduled me for 6 weeks in advance bc i will be away for 2 weeks the month of july.

So for my 8/6 wedding
my first fitting is this saturday 6/25
my second fitting will be 7/23 and I will pick up the dress 7/30
and they have a ton to do...the top of the dress needs to go from a size 8 to a 2 but they said they have more than enough time.

I think early august is very far in advance to start it unless you are confident you wont gain/lose weight

I was told 6-8 weeks before the wedding. My first fitting is 8/6.

Thanks everyone. I will probably go sooner rather than later cause of the changes that are being made to the back of the dress.... When it came in, I was so excited to try it on & it didn't even fit :(

I am very anxious!!!!!!
