where do i go to look for a dress, long preffered. i went to estelle's today and everything seemed so expensive and i really didn't 'love' anything. then i went to macy's at broadway mall, century 21 and jcpenney. nothing nothing nothing. now what?

I always do really well at Lord and Taylor's when I need a dress. There is one in the Walt Whitman Mall and in the South Shore Mall. I am not sure if there is one in Roosevelt Field.

Believe it or not , I got two really nice dresses at Sears (in South Carolina so I don't know if they stock fancier stuff down south). I spent under $80 for both of them!! (Crazy sale).
I did try on a long, black satin skirt and fancy halter at the Sears in Smithaven Mall that was not too

It's a website - bluefly.com. Designer clothes at a discount. I think that they have a new location in midtown but I'm not sure of the address.

I just went to Annie Sez in Plainview and bought 4 dresses for an upcoming wedding. I'll decide which one I wear and then return the rest, but I found 4 I liked and they were all reasonable.
It's a compulsion, I can't make up my mind in the store..also found really cute shoes.

Try Lord and Taylor, or even the Lord and Taylor Outlet in Levittown. I got a really nice long dress there for a wedding and paid almost half the price in the Lord and Taylor stores. It's a hit or miss type of place though.
