Dress for grandma

Dress for grandma

I'm going to take my grandmother shopping for a dress for the wedding. I am planning to take her to Sugar Plum, We want a place with dresses off the rack (no ordering).

Can you recommend other stores in the area, or not more than 20 minutes from there? We'll be traveling from Brooklyn, so I don't want to wear her out by driving terribly far.

Thanks in advance!

I actually just looked at their website. I have no clue how far Farmingdale is from Merrick. I guess we'll go to Sugar Plum first and if we don't find anything, and she's up to it, we'll use my GPS to get us to Estelle's.

I'm not sure specifically where Sugar Plum is, but I can tell you it will generally take you roughly 20-25 minutes to get to Farmingdale from Merrick. Estelle's is good, but they have a crummy return policy.

If it were me, I'd just try somewhere like Macy's (especially the one in Roosevelt Field, and I hear Manhasset is good too), that has a large selection and a good return policy, in case you want to buy more than one and take some time to decide (I'm indecisive now, so I would imagine that when I'm a grandma I'd be even worse lol).

Roosevelt Field is too big to take my grandmother to. She uses a walker, so I want to make it as easy as possible for her to get around. I do appreciate the idea.
