I had the best experiences at wedding salon of manhasset & bridal suite of bayshore (joanne was amazing)
I also realy liked Brideal Reflections in massapequa. I didn't find my dress there (though I did look there) but we found our bridesmaids dresses there.
I was really underwhelmed by Village Bridal.
I had a terrible experience at Davids Bridal in Massapequa.

I went to only one place and found my dress - Wedding Salon of Manhasset. I had Noreen as a consultant and she was amazing. I highly recommend them!

I went to Village Bridal (where I purchased my dress), Bridal Suite of Bayshore and Fantasia Bridal. I really feel like the consultant you work with has a big impact on your experience (which I think is why you see a lot varied opinions of bridal salons) and I was fortunate to have really great consultants at all 3 places. My consultant at Village Bridal ended up being the one to pull THE dress, actually my 2 favorites were both there. The dressing rooms there are small but the store itself is really nice, lots of natural light which i found a little more flattering. I'd recommend all 3 but especially Village Bridal. Have fun and enjoy the experience!

Although I didn't get my gown there, Lillette's was amazing. Small place, great selection of gowns, and you practically have the whole place to yourself!

I absolutely loved Village Bridal! I worked with Chrissy and she was amazing. I saw a dress online and I couldn't find it anywhere so she got a sample for me in 4 days. I went and fell in love with it, but she still had me try on other dresses just to be sure. I tried on probably 20 dresses, but I ended up going with the sample one. She was so sweet and was a lot of fun to work with, I would totally ask for her if you go there!

I had an awful experience at bridal reflections in massapequa- they told me that certain dresses would make me look fat (I'm a size 6 and i'm 5'7 so I was pissed! lol)... I also went to Lilette's in Bellmore which was really nice, but I just didn't find anything I liked.
I ended up buying at Pronovias in NYC, which was the coolest bridal salon I've been in. When sitting in the waiting room, you can scroll through wedding dresses on these touch screen computers and add them to your virtual dressing room! The dresses were all so gorgeous and I just fell in love with all of them... If you go there request Alana or Sarah (she was on Say Yes to the Dress and was one of the consultants, but she quit Kleinfeld's and now works at Pronovias)

I highly suggest Paradise Bridal in Patchogue. It was quite out of the way for me but I'm so glad I went there. I had the best experience there and that's where I got my dress!

I went to:
Wedding Salon of Manhasset (make sure you tell them your budget is firm, bc they put me in a dress $2500 over what I said and I loved it but had to walk away), Village Bridal, BR in Carle Place (my worst experience), and a bunch of places in the city. I'm going to FM you now with all of them (just remembered I wrote it out to someone else!).

This! I ended up buying my dress from her! I also recommend The Wedding Salon of Manhasset! The only reason why I didn't like them 100% or buy my dress there (because they sell the designer) was in the beginning she never asked me if I had a budget and was PUSHING me towards the Vera Wang boutique AND dresses that were over $6k even after I mentioned my budget.
Good luck!

I absolutely positively 100% recommend NOT going to Paradise bridal in Patchogue. I had a terrible experience there and basically everytime I was there I overheard other customers horror stories. They have terrible customer service, the employees were yelling at each other in front of customers and they just overall have the impression people were bothering them by coming into the store. My dress only came in 3 weeks before my wedding and I believe that was only because I went there in person and had to harass them along with phone calls from my DOC. While it all worked out in the end, the experience they put me and other customers through is completely unacceptable! Google reviews about them...you'll see.

I went to lilettes. Bridal reflections massapequa. Village bridal and bridal suite in bayshore. Lilettes was small but very helpful. Pulled exactly what I wanted. Br I felt they didn't listen to what I wanted Village was good many dresses - but my consultant wasn't really knowledgable Bridal suite very crowed but helpful
