Dress is HUGE? Can they alter?

So I did a dumb thing. I ordered my flower girl dresses a size bigger than they were 6 months ago.

The parents gave me sizes that are one size big. UGHH!

So the dresses are huge, like 2 sizes too big.

Anyone have experience altering bridesmaid dresses to be 2 sizes smaller? At least they are on spagetti straps, so its just take in the waist issue?

The dresses are built like bridesmaid dress. I really splurged and I feel so dumb now

i dont think this would be a problem for a seamstress.

They should not have a problem altering them !!!!!!! It is always good to order bigger than smaller !!!!!!!!!

i don't think you should worry, i think they'll be able to alter them without a problem! btw, those were my 'dream' flower girl dresses! sooooo pretty!

Are there side seams? Just sew two lines down the sides that meet the skirt at the waist, then adjust the straps. Easy peasy. If you don't cut the sections of fabric along the sides, you can even let them back out again as they grow.

dresses are gorgeous & a good seamstress should definately be able to do it

think it is okay- I hope! I have a bm dress that is a size 6 and I should have gotten a 2. As far as I know they can make dresses smaller a lot easier than they can make them bigger....

They can def make it smaller. Especially if its a good seamstress...
