Before your 1st fitting, did you go check your dress to make sure it was ok, not damaged, etc???

I did not, but I have heard stories from other girls so perhaps it is better to be safe than sorry.

Yup. They thought the length was wrong [hollow to hem measurement] so I went and tried it on with my shoes. Go check it out!! And take pics!

Yes. The bridal salon said that I should so that if there was something wrong they can send it back.

Mine just came in a week ago, and I asked to see it and try it on (I was told it was in storage and they need 24hrs to get it out)
The store didn't even call when it came in..I called them to check if it was in. AND the woman on the phone was like, 'You want to see it? You'll get a card in the mail in 2 months for your first fitting.' They made me feel so uncomfortable about trying it on and they didn't even let me go in the main dressing area where I went when I was trying on dresses. She led me to basically a converted closet and told me my dress was in there. Didn't help me at all! Then she stood right next to me the entire time stariing at me, so I felt so awkward the entire time
ALSO if you ordered a veil/headpiece ask that you want to see that too!! Yes, how naive of me to assume that they would let me see everything I paid for...I was so mad when she told me that b/c I didn't ask for it they didn't bring it over.
