I am on my second fitting for my dress, and the seamstress just hemmed the bottom 1/2 - 1inch off the ground. Is that too high? Should the bottom of your dress be touching the ground? I'm afraid I am going to be tripping on it

did you try the dress on with your shoes, if she hemmed it that much while you had your shoes on then it will be fine

Like Denise aid as long as you had your shoes on it will be fine...My seamstress would not even do a fitting until I had the shoes...

oh i thought you were afraid of it being too long since you said you were afraid of tripping over it sorry
well how much longer was the dress even with the shoes on, she didnt say it will be 1 inch above the shoes, by what youre saying she said she was taking off an inch, so if the dress was dragging on the floor then she has enough to take off and should be fine...did she show you around where the dress would fall to?

mine was long too and touched the ground, it wasnt short and while i walked you couldnt see my shoes...but my seamstress showed me where it would end, maybe ask her to double check...but also remember how long your dress was when you went for your 2nd fitting and she said this, if it was dragging long on the floor even with your shoes on if she takes off 1/2 inch it should still be long
