Dress Opinion

Original post by PinkCar06

I am going to start my gown search on Saturday, I really don't want to spend more than $1000 on a dress. Do you think I will be able to find something great without spending a fortune. Davids bridal would be my last option.

I got my Maggie Sottero dress from Village Bridal and Boutique in Babylon and it was about $1200 with tax so Im sure you can find something there in your price range. The people are so nice and friendly and patient. I would def recommend them. Im sure you can find some dresses for cheaper at different places, but all those places did not have the customer service that this place had...and that was very important to me! And they also let you take pics of you in the dresses, all the other places I went to I had to sneak pics cause they didnt allow them :( I loved that!!

look on Alfred Angelo's website, most are for under $1000. I will probably get one of his dresses - they are really nice.

I bought an Alfred Angelo gown, and it wasn't expensive at all

Try Fantasia Bridal in Rocky Point. I got my dress and the BM dresses there. They were wonderful!

Definitely go to Burton's Bridals in Huntington after checking out some prices. Carol came in about $300 cheaper on all the gowns I tried on at other places. She is amazing!! And she's so sweet! I got a private label for under $1000 and it's beautiful...

not only are we hall twins, we were almost dress twins! this dress is gorgeous, it was a very close 2nd for me.

OMG!! Absolutely. Tell them you're price range. I tried on a bunch of dresses all under $1000 and I loved them all. My maggie sottero dress was 700. You don't have to go to David's Bridal if you don't want to. I didn't and found my dress!!

I didn't go anywhere but DB. I had seen the dress I wanted a year ago on their website so it was the first & last place I went to. Tried it on and it was like a dream

But a lot of the other girls mentioned some great places where I'm sure you'll find something in your price range. Try going in and tell them your budget and see what they show you.
