I am going to start my gown search on Saturday, I really don't want to spend more than $1000 on a dress. Do you think I will be able to find something great without spending a fortune. Davids bridal would be my last option.

Re: Dress Opinion
look on Alfred Angelo's website, most are for under $1000. I will probably get one of his dresses - they are really nice.

Re: Dress Opinion
Definitely go to Burton's Bridals in Huntington after checking out some prices. Carol came in about $300 cheaper on all the gowns I tried on at other places. She is amazing!! And she's so sweet! I got a private label for under $1000 and it's beautiful...
I second Burtons! They were great! RK Bridal in the city is good too. They have a ton of dresses and many of them are under 1000k!
Good Luck!

Re: Dress Opinion
RK is awesome, so is Lotus Bridal in Brooklyn. You can definitely get a beautiful gown for under 1K. Maggie Sottero, Casablanca, Bonny Bridal all have gowns in that range.

Re: Dress Opinion
I'm sure most places will have beautiful dresses in your budget! Just be sure to tell the salesgirl your budget so you don't risk falling in love with something out of your budget!

Re: Dress Opinion
Village Bridal and Angel's bridal I found had the most reasonable prices. They were both a few hundred cheaper for the same gown then other places.

Re: Dress Opinion
I got a Maggie Sottero dress for 799 at Village Bridal and Boutique in Babylon. I think Maggie dresses are relatively inexpensive. (for a wedding dress anyway)

Re: Dress Opinion
I refused to buy a dress over 1,000 because I don't think it is worth it to spend that much money on a dress you only wear once. (Just my opinion some people have that kind of money to spend.) Anyway, I decided to keep it under 1,000. If you want to do that, don't let yourself try on anything that costs more than that or you might fall in love with a dress you can't afford. My dress is from RK bridal. They have a lot of beautiful dresses there. Honestly, you aren't paying for stellar service so don't expect it but if you aren't the kind of person who needs all the frills, you can do the work and search for a great dress on your own. I got my dress from there for $773 and the alterations are no more than 250 I think. So I am getting all of that for under 1,000. The dress is allure 2158 if you want to look it up and see what kind of a dress you can get for that price.
DEFINITELY try RK - they have an enormous selection of gorgeous dresses at amazing prices.

Re: Dress Opinion
I went to the wedding center in Commack and they had a TON of gorgeous dresses for under 1,000! I definitely don't want to spend more than that either, and I found a dress by Private Label that is retail $1200 and they are selling for like $850

Re: Dress Opinion
I bought a Demetrios dress from Macy's during a trunk show. It was a little more than $1000 but I am sure you can find something there for less.
