Dress opinions...

Original post by Butterfly123

Okay so Ive had my dress for a few months now and I want to get it altered soon. But I need some opinions. First one being, the dress has a flower on the side. Does this look tacky? The more I look at it the more I dont know about it. Someone told me I could always take it off and add some type of brooch or something. Or just leave it plain. Secong question...should I add straps? In the second pic of the back of the dress it looks like it has straps. Your opinions would be greatly appreciate.

no straps - and I like the flower. I think it's pretty and different.

if it were my dress, I would take off the flower and keep it strapless

I can't really see the coloring too well... I came across this

OOh Thats pretty!! I need to get my uncle to photoshop it on my dress and see how it would look! Yelley you are so awesome! Thanks for looking that up for me.

no problem. if the details on your dress are more ivory, you can bring this pic to any flea market and they can make it for you in colors that match...

hmmm. I say no straps, and i don't think the flower is tacky, but when you mentioned the broach, I thought that would look GORGEOUS on the dress.

i like straps; definitely try that look - they pinned on beaded straps when i tried my dress and that's how I decided i didn't want strapless for sure. See if you like it better with straps.

my friend added a brooch to her very plain dress. she got it in the garment district - the tailor told her which place to go to. I definitely like the brooch better than the flower.

GORGEOUS dress!!! definitely NO straps..... and the flower is okay...but i think a brooch would look better...regardless of what you decide, it's soooo pretty!!!

I would say no straps. I like the flower but a broach would like stunning too.
