Dress Preserved

Does anyone have a reputable place where I can get my dress preserved? How much does it cost?

Did anyone else use this? I went to their website to try and find authorized locations near me and the live web person gave me these:

I just moved to suffolk from queens and have no idea about these places: does anyone know if they are reputable or not? I was expecting them to be dry cleaners not bridal stores.

The Wedding Center Commack (631) 543-6898
Helen's Bridal Commack (631) 543-6300
Angel Bridals East Islip (631) 581-3330

What should I do?

I just put my address in to this site and expected a good result... of course they came back to suggest KLEINFELDS where I purchased my dress and it costs upwards of $500 to preserve. Not to mention I had a horrible customer experience at Kleinfelds! Ugh I'm trying again with my parents address

yeah its giving me this one place that has 1 star reviews, I dont know if that applies to preservation as they just send it out for us and they dont actually really do anything... but it scares me to leave my dress someplace with 1 star rating. But I think $199 is the lowest I will hear and now I'm just trying to find a place I feel comfortable enough leaving the dress.

Um why is every place I'm calling saying they start at $350? This is ridiculous! I want $199!

My daughters wedding in great neck said $199
Bridal Suite of centereach said $199
Dry Cleaners in queens said $199

Village Bridal in Babylon said $249

Those were the lowest but believe me, I called 42 places already lol... I was quoted $250-$350 as well.

42!!!

You can get your dress preserved at a bridal salon where you didn't order it?

I don't feel like driving out to Patchogue to Paradise, even though they were awesome!

Yeah you can get your dress preserved anywhere. Some places charge you more but like any drycleaners will do it. You got yours at paradise bridal in patchogue? Thats near me, they didn't come up on that authorized list but maybe ill call them anyway and check with them too.

But what is really the process of preserving?
I went to a dry cleaners in Queens and was quoted 180 for dry cleaning and then 60 on top of that to box it...
is that all everyone else does?

yes, it's basically like they clean it and then they box it up in some special way so that it stays OK for 10-20 years without yellowing (i think)
