I am just curious to know how much everyone is spending on their wedding gowns . . . I guess I am just trying to figure out what I should expect so that I can budget accordingly.
If you can, would you please post the designer of your dress, and how much you are paying (have paid)? Thanks Girls!

Re: Dress Prices
Gerty and I are 'dress twins' but I paid $100 more for the same dress! And it's from the same store, but I got it in their Queens store. Prices do vary. It's worth it to shop around.
Mine is a Richard Glasgow - $2800 plus $250 for alterations. But also thinking about adding buttons down the back so I'm sure they'll slam me for that!

Re: Dress Prices
Mine is also a Demitrios and it was $790.90 (before alterations). I can't show a picture because it was recently discontinued and it's no longer on their site. Sorry!

Re: Dress Prices
I got my dress from a Michelle Roth sample sale for $350.00. Alterations costs me $350.00 too but it needed major alteration i.e shorten dress from waist, make dress sleeveless and add some of excess embroider/lace to the dress. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my seamstress, Karin Y, she did a great job with my dress. In total I spent $1000 for the dress, alterations, dry cleaning, veil, and tiara.

Re: Dress Prices
I haven't picked a dress yet but I've set my limit at $1000. I've found a bunch of great dresses all under my price max too. I would recommend RK Bridal in NYC for all price ranges and a huge selection. It's worth the trip.

Re: Dress Prices
Hey ladies..., Marcela is correct, I'm an attorney and my FI is a veternarian.
I agree, $12,000 is totally psychotic, but when I tried that on, I fell IN LOVE!
Everyone's dresses are soooooooooo beautiful!

Re: Dress Prices
Kathy: I don't think it's totally psychotic if you have the $$ and it's THE ONE for you. Once you find THE ONE, there's no going back. My original budget was $1,000 (but I was really hoping to spend less than $1000) and ended up falling in love with a dress twice that amount.
