OK I purchased my gown 3 weekd ago at Kleinfelds. I absolutely loved it. The sample gown was kind of like an ivory/champagne color.....keep in mind I want a white gown. As I had it on my bridal consultant kept saying just picture how beautiful it will be in white. When I decided to purchase it we took the gown off, she then says oh this sample is white. Now I started to like get upset because the sample wasmnt exactly what youd call white. She then says well it will be brighter but not bright white but defintily whiter than this. Iwas so nervouse I didnt even think about what she was saying. Now that Im sitting here thinking about what kind of veil and tiara to get I am panicking that my dress is not going to be white. What does it mean by her saying it isnt going to be white white. It is silk mikado so she said that material is never bright white. Is this true? Does anyopne have any suggestions on what I should do?

Re: Dress Problem
Did you check the dress out online to see what colors it comes in? Call the designer and ask for a sample. Call the store and speak to the manager about your concerns.

Re: Dress Problem
Maybe when she says it's not white -white - she means it's diamond white - which is a softer - less harsh white - but still white. A lot of brides can't carry off white because of their skin tone/hair color and a lot wear diamond white. They do make veils in diamond white - I would wait until your dress comes in before you get your veil.

Re: Dress Problem
I would ask them to send you a swatch. Samples do tend to be a little darker because they are probably handled so much. I think that you should definatly go back and ask them what color Exactly did you order and what will it Exactly look like.. Your entitled, you did pay for it.
Good Luck

Re: Dress Problem
The gown I purchased is Eve Of Milady and it is not on her website. However on my reciept the manufacturer style is 033 and when I went to the website there is a gown there by the number 033 but thats not the gown i tried on. Am I just really panicking? OK Im going to call Kleinfelds now. But I feel like Imbeing annoying, but really Im not because I did pay for it.

Re: Dress Problem
I remember at my hall's fashion show they had a silk dress. It looked very white to me but I remember the owner of the salon saying silk could never be bright white. It definitely did not look ivory though. I got my dress in a bright white which is not silk and holding it up to a diamond white you could see the difference but when they are sperated you cannot tell.

Re: Dress Problem
I was told that white is not the same color on different material. My dress is matte satin and is very white but organza is a softer white. Maybe they have a newer sample in the same material that you can see how white your dress will be. Good Luck!
