Dress Question
My dress is A-line with crinolin built in (some) I think it is a decent amount and don't really want anymore. They told me I need to have more so the dress won't go between my legs when I walk down the isle. I really don't want the dress much bigger than it is now (it starts to look like a bell). Is this dress between the legs thing really a big problem? The dress is too long for me to walk properly right now so I can't tell. If I HAVE to get crinolin I think I will need it before they alter it so they won't make it too short. Any info would help. Thanks

Re: Dress Question
Mine had some attached as well.I have never heard of this problem and it didn't happen to me. I didn't want a lot either so I know what you mean.
I skipped the slip the bridal salon offered as well.
If you think it will be a problem maybe a slip would do the trick.
I chose to have as little as possible. No added crinoline no slip and cups attached to dress. I was very comfortable.
Do what you think is right for you. Don't let the salon change what you want. You have to be comfortable.

Re: Dress Question
Thanks Debbus, that's how I feel too! I dont really want a slip either. The mid section of my dress is smoothe so you could see the top of the slip when I tried it on. Did you wear stockings? Did the crinolin bother your legs at all? I'm glad to hear that you didn't have a problem. Thanks for the help

Re: Dress Question
I have crinoline built in and also had to wear a little poofier crinoline slip because of the way the front of my dress is supposed to look. It was recommended to me to get a cheap slip to wear underneath to keep the dress from going between your legs. I am going to do that. It just makes the front look nicer if you want it to poof up more I guess. The seamstress said the slip can be a cheap one like you would get a Mandees or some place like that.

Re: Dress Question
Betty,That's so funny my dress was smooth too! Be careful with that, you can see everyting!
I did wear stockings, found ones I loved at lord and taylor, Clavin Klein seamless panty type had almost no waitsband. Thought they wouldn't stay up but the did, no pulling tugging or adjusting. A first!!
The crinoline didn't bother my legs at all, but it did make a mess of the top part of the foot of my stockings, you couldn't see it and I didn't notice untill I took off my dress when I got home. Just pulled a little, no runs though!

Re: Dress Question
Debbus - with those stockings, did they cut into your stomach at all? I take an A stocking but I usually get a B just so they won't make a line in my stomach. Those didn;t make a line at all? That would be great!!!!!

Re: Dress Question
Betty,No line! I bought the size I always buy.
They were so comfortable. Picked them a couple of days before as a backup and ended up wearing them. I'm so glad. I have never worn a comfortable pair in my life! LOL
7-11,
I think it might with no stockings.

Re: Dress Question
Betty, I was told that too, that I would have to get a slip so it would n ot go through my legs. I am already having issues that my dress is too poufy, so the soulution is to wear a basic non-poufy slip.I know how you feel, comfort is an issue with me as well.
