Has anyone tried a wedding dress on somewhere and then ordered it from somewhere else? No one seems to have the dress I want except for the wedding center in commack and I have read horror stories about that place. Can I just try it on there and order it from somewhere else?

I haven't done it but I know a lot of girls who have. Yes you can do it. And there is nothing wrong with it.

OH NO what horror stories have you heard about the wedding center? i was thinking about going there for invitations....

Yes I did! I even did it for the BM dress. Macys was the only one who had a sample. I just ordered it from my store with my dress. Go on the designers website and see what stores carry it.

I actually went there to try on this dress i can't find anywhere and they were pretty nice in the store. I came back to work and did a search on here for them and it came back with negative reviews. I also asked a co-worker who went there and she had some not great things to say. These were all dress related though, not invitations!

I did that - found my dress $350 cheaper at my shop then the shop in baldwin i had tried on. Deff do it

Take reviews with a grain of salt. I would get all worked up about neg. reviews on different things but I always say go with your gut. Everyone is going to have different experiences based on who they met with, what the real issue was, etc.etc.

everyone has different experiences with them. i got BM dresses there for my friends wedding. I had no problem other than feeling rushed the day we tried dresses on, but alterations were fine. Though the MOB and MOH had trouble with alterations for their dresses. Who knows...
but yes, you can order your dress from anywhere, as long as they carry that designer. and i've learned to bargain. tell the 2nd place a lower amount than the dress actually is (not too much though!) and they will most likely try to match or go a little lower. I've done that with 2 different stores already!! good luck!!

i'd definitely order from the place that has the best customer service and alterations. Anyone can order a dress, but its what happens after that counts
