I haven't started looking at dresses but, when you've chosen 'the dress' ...do you pay in one lump sum or do you make payments until all alterations are all done.

I only put a deposit down and then made payments right up until the last alteration appointmnt

me too - you can do deposit and then payments or deposit and then lump some....we are doing deposit and then payments....

I had to pay half when it was ordered and the rest I pay when it comes in

Most places only require you to pay 1/2 as the deposit. This is what I did!

I had to put down half and the rest is paid at the first fitting. But I plan on paying a little every month so when I go to the fitting I don't have to pay another big lump sum.

My place didn't care how much we put down. We put down half but it wasn't like we had to.

I didn't have to pay half, but I did anyway. I'll pay the balance when the dress comes in & alterations as we go.
