Re: dress questions
Some places do not let you (which I think is Crazy) but one place told my sister its because they do not want anyone replicating the dresses, but really its because they dont want you showing someone else and then buying it cheaper lol.
I went in with my sister in the dressing room and snapped some shots of dresses when they were off her and the one place we went to had the labels and we took pictures of that. i know some places take out the labels and put in there own wihch S U C KS

I know alot of places that TAKE THE LABELS OUT!! I think its nuts. So you cant find the dress for cheaper. Makes me think theyre over charging right away!

David's Bridal lets you take pics, Macy's does not. Happy shopping!

Re: dress questions
I haven't gone dress shopping but I just wanted to wish you good luck when you do. Be careful taking pics though... a lot of the times the lady helping you is IN the dressing room with you.

Re: dress questions
i ordered my dress from this little shop called carmellas bridal garden. Its a little shop and the owner is this old italian lady (reminds me of my grandma) who does all the alterations herself. She if very nice and all of the women who work there have been very helpful. They only like to have one bride in the shop at a time so they are very attentive and helpful. Carmella can do anything you want! she can combine and two dresses and add anything you want really. i cant find her card right now and im on my way out...FM me if you have any questions or want the phone number, I highly recommend her!

Re: dress questions
I find it really bad business practice to remove labels and not let you take pictures. They don't do that at car dealerships! The bridal business is very cutthroat.
Howver, have fun dress shopping and try to take as many pics as possible!!!

Re: dress questions
I went to Helen's Bridal Center in Commack. They were absolutely wonderful. They let you take as many pictures as you want. They figure you will be able to see any dress you want on the internet anyway!
They were soooo great and I ended up getting my dress there as well..
