Hello again, I hate to be an overkill with initial questions but I have yet another one..
Is it true that you need an appointment to walk in and look/try on bridal dresses?
Thanks for the feed back.. This site has done wonders for me!!

Re: Dress Shopping
You can walk in without an appointment, but don't expect a warm welcome. Some stores are nasty even if you have an appointment and they are still busy. Usually, as long as you have an appointment they will be happy to help you. Good luck.

It depends on the store. I would call ahead and see. Most will want you to make an appointment. If you do, usually they will have someone assigned to help you, and it makes it much easier

Re: Dress Shopping
i agree. appts are the best way to go, but i've walked into shops to try on, and its been fine. although its was later in the afternoon on a saturday (3-4ish), and it wasn't all that hectic.
I guess i wouldn't go there expecting to be helped w/out an appt, but sometimes you get lucky. it depends on the place, really.

Re: Dress Shopping
Most will let you just walk-in. The only one I know that doesnt allow you just to walk-in is Lillets in Baldwin.

Most of the places i went you needed an appointment. When i was at Bridal Reflections they had to keep turing away people who didn't

Most places require an appointment. I would make an appointment so that when you arrive they have someone to help you.

And don't try to go to Adrienne's in Islip without an appointment! I made that mistake. They did let us take a look at the bridesmaids dresses without an appointment, though... they're in a separate building in the back.

Re: Dress Shopping
I just called Cathy's Bridal in Lindenhurst and The Wedding Center in Commack and they say you do not need an appointment.
Anyone have any reviews of these shops?
Thanks!!

Re: Dress Shopping
I actually just went to a bridal expo and the commack wedding center did a little dress fashion show. They seem to have great prices...but I have just never been there...the guy keep on saying they were family owned and around for a while...

Re: Dress Shopping
Make an appt its for the best honestly. I saw a girl not make an appt and she had to sit and wait because there were no sales people available and there were no changing rooms open. Its like going to a restaurant with a reservation, you walk in and immediate attention! for the $$$ you are spending you deserve to be pampered!
By the way, I would HIGHLY recommend Lillettes in Baldwin! Great selection and amazingly helpful staff!
