Lord and Taylor usually. Sometimes Bloomingdale's. If I'm DESPERATE, Estelle's.

I buy all my dresses from either Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, or Bluefly.

I love dress shopping, and Nordstrom was where I bought the most awesome dress for my Rehersal dinner :) They have really great sales too, which is why I bought my dress there! For a wedding or new year's eve, I think you could also try
H & M if you like their clothes, they have really pretty dresses too.

I get a lot from Ann Taylor, partly because they petite dresses fit me perfectly and most others I need hemmed.

H&M is good if you want inexpensive - they usually have fun, flirty, glittery dresses for the holidays! Have fun, hope you're going somewhere fun!
