Dress Shopping

Original post by cmastro25

I'm going dress shopping with my mom this weekend... So excited! Any suggestions on where I should go. I was going to check out RK Bridal on Sunday. Any others in LI that I should go to?

Also, is RK the place that only allows you to try on 2 dresses at a time?

Re: Dress Shopping

I went to Lillette's in Baldwin last week. They had a lot of dresses in all price ranges. I still haven't found 'the one' but I plan on going back there in a couple of weeks to try on some more gowns. I worked with Gerry...she was fantastic!

ETA: I just checked to see if they're open on Sunday...they are from 12:00-4

Have fun and Goodluck!

I went to Priscilla of Boston in Roslyn and bought my dress there! They are very very nice!

Thanks Ladies! I'm so excited. I printed out tons of dresses I want to try on so I can just go in and tell them exactly what I want. I'm going to get there first thing on Sunday, so hopefully I'll get an attendant. I'll check out the other places too.

Word of advice - let them show you things you think you might not like. The dress I wound up ordering is never what I would have thought I would have liked, but once I tried it on, I knew I loved it.

Yes of course. I'm coming with some printouts to show them what I like and then I'll let them make suggestions. I'll try on anything. I don't care. hehe :)

I actually don't plan on taking pictures. But I'm going to get the designer names and style numbers so I can pull photos off the web. So I'll post my favs once I tried them on.
