I'm going dress shopping with my mom this weekend... So excited! Any suggestions on where I should go. I was going to check out RK Bridal on Sunday. Any others in LI that I should go to?
Also, is RK the place that only allows you to try on 2 dresses at a time?

Re: Dress Shopping
I am going to Priscilla of Boston is Roslyn Heights and the Wedding Salon of Manhasset. There is also Manhasset Bridal Couture. Both of the last two stores are right next to each other on Northern Boulevard.

I had the best success at Paradise Bridal in Patchougue... the people at Fantasia were really nice too, but the selection was bigger at Paradise, bigger but also different...

I plan to get there as early as they open on Sunday. I believe this is there last Sunday opening until September. I'm going to call and see how early I can come.
When you say you had 7, did you bring them in yourself? Or do you just tell them what you're looking for and they bring them to you?

Re: Dress Shopping
I brought my sister, my mom, one of my bridesmaids and one of my groomsmen...we went around looking for dresses (which is not as easy as it sounds) and then we waited for my name to be called and then I brought them in...I went today when it wasnt too busy and I saw a saleswoman walking around with a bride looking for dresses...i guess it depends on how busy they are

Good luck Cindy!
Locally, I recommend Flowerama on Myrtle Avenue. I had about 6 dresses in the dressing room with me and I was able to pick out dresses myself. This is actually where I found my dress! Sometimes they let you take pics... I think it depends on the attendant you have.

I just poted about RK bridal. I went on a sat and I was able to try on 7 dresses. If you make an appointment during the week you can try on as many as you like. Go see Olga she is great! I found my dress there! It is beautiful and only $600!!!!!! Good luck!

I went to Priscilla of Boston in Roslyn, Wedding Salon of Manhasset, and Bridal Reflections in Carle Place. I ended up getting my dress at Bridal Reflections, but I loved all three stores. Very attentive, very nice and great selections!

Re: Dress Shopping
Thanks Ladies! I'm so excited. I printed out tons of dresses I want to try on so I can just go in and tell them exactly what I want. I'm going to get there first thing on Sunday, so hopefully I'll get an attendant. I'll check out the other places too.
