I am going to go looking at Bridesmaids dresses tomorrow nite and do not know where to start, I live in Nassau CO. and am taking my best friend with me, even though the wedding is in 2004, I know that I am going to have a hard time deceiding on BM dresses because all 5 of them are different shapes and sizes. Help! any feedback would be helpful!

Some ideas
I had a very similar problem. I have 8 girls and all of them have a different body type. My best friend is 5'2 and very petite but with curves, my sister is 5'10' with broad shoulders, not very curvy. I went only with them and tried on seperates. It worked out great. I figure anything that looks good on the two extremes of the spectrum will look great on all body types. The top is an off the shoulder velvet and the skirt is a long A-Line satin. It is also super comfortable to wear. When all of the girls tried on the outfit on to order it they all loved it and said it looked great, and was easy to wear.
Also, if you have any very large size girls before deciding make sure the dress comes in her size. Many of the designers don't go past a certain size. Alfred Angelo makes some nice dresses for all size girls too. And keep in mind that not all larger size girls like to wear sleeveless, or very top-showing or tight outfits.
Have a great time!

I don't know how you would feel about this idea but it worked for me.
My girls got the same color dresses but different styles. Each one got the dress that looks good on them and they match.
Hope this helps. Good luck!
Be careful, you could make yourself crazy looking so early.

I don't know about different shapes/sizes, but Jessica McClintock in Roosevelt Field has nice dresses for reasonable prices.
