I am so not sure about this one - - but does anyone know how far in advance you should purchase the dress. Some people have told me 12- 18 months before the big day. Ahhhhhhhhhhh

Re: Dress Shopping
depends on the person!! my wedding is next january and i am going to order it in november!
just trying to decide btw two dresses and its driving me bonkers
since we DO have all this time - i would DEFINITELY get it at least a year before so it comes in with plenty of time for alterations!

Re: Dress Shopping
I heard 8-11 months. I would tell them one month earlier then expected. For example. If you are gettin married in November tell THEM october. JUST IN CASE. I dont know about you but I would rather have my dress in hand one month before my wedding rather then 2 weeks. Thats scary!!! I would give it one full year.

Re: Dress Shopping
I already bought mine a couple of weekends ago. Granted I was early but for the designer I was looking at they had said to order 18 months in advance anyway.

I ordered mine 18 months in advance. I have no idea when it's coming in. I didn't plan on purchasing a dress that day but I love it so I bought it!
