Hello Ladies- I am planning on going dress shopping next weekend, but to be honest, I'm not sure where to even start looking. I know there is a David's Bridal in the sourece but I've heard horrible things about them. I'm also looking to go other places--i really want to be able to take my time and just look around in different shops. I live in Great Neck--so to start out I'd like to stay in the Nassua or western suffolk areas. I'd be very apprecaiteive if you could list some good place you've liked. Or if someonewhere was exceptionally bad (bad service, attitude, disorganized etc) I'd like to know that too.

I have so far had a great experience at Lillette's in Baldwin!
Carol was absolutely fabulous to work with - do a search and you'll find a ton of great reviews of Lilette's.

The Wedding Salon in Manhasset - phenominal service and gorgous gowns!

My best friend bought her dress at the Wedding Salon in Manhassatt and I bought my dress at Lillettes, but have a big selection.
There is also Bridal Reflections, one in Carle Place, the other in Massapequa.

Lillettes has great selection and great prices. The service can be hit or miss but since I've ordered my dress there everyone has been amazing to us.

Try Angel Bridals in East Islip. They have been very wonderful to me. I had my first fitting yesterday and it went beautifully. Their seamstress has hands of gold!!!

I don't know if this is too far for you but I had the best experience at Carmela's in Huntington. I didn't wind up getting my dress there but that was the place I had the most fun trying on dresses. The women that work there are very helpful and not pushy.

I got mine at Centereach Bridal Suite. It may be farther than you wanted but I loved them there!
