Dress Shopping

I want to start looking for my dress soon. I am hoping to stay under $1500. Any suggestions for where I should look? Places in Nassau or Western Suffolk would be preferable. Also, what designers are in my price range?

Bridal Reflections in Massapequa has some and the expereince there is great, try Burton's in Melville too. Princess Bridals in Farmingdale has a lot but I don't really trust them because a dress I liked was 1495 there and 1350 in three other places- It is only 150 dollars but still.

You should check out Lillette's in Baldwin. They have a good selection and prices within your range. That is where I ordered my dress. Ask for Geri when you go, she is delightful!

Bridal Suite of Huntington has reasonable prices. You don't need an appointment....at least I just walked in every time I went there!

I also ordered my gown from Lillettes in baldwin. The staff there was so helpful.

I highly recommend the Macy's in Manhasset. The service there has been awesome, and the alteration cap is really good. Every dress I looked at there (and I looked at a LOT) was between $1k and $1,300.

Just read the end of your post - Demetrios gowns would definitely be in your price range and that's the bulk of the Macy's selection.

I also suggest Macy's. In addition to having some very moderate to low budget gowns, they give a 10% discount automatically if you register there! Plus, if you try a little, you can easily talk them down to 15% or more!

Although not all of her dresses are 1500 or less, also look at Marisa bridal gowns. (i have a Marisa). She has beautiful designs (very elegant) and uses fabulous fabric for not as much as designers of similar quality! Good luck!

I went to this place in East Hills, on Glen Cove Road, Bridal Accents. I got my dress, my headpiece and veil there, and I'm pretty sure I'm getting the bridesmaids dresses there.

They are very reasonable. My dress is costing me 1600 because I had to add fabric for a larger size. Otherwise it's in your price range.

Ask for Mona or Jill, they were very helpful and they really know there stuff. I trust them immensely. I can't wait till my dress comes in.

the cwc has a big variety and while u r there u can look at other things.........princess bridals in farmingdale also has a big selection but i didn't care for the staff.......bridal reflections in massapequa has a decent selection.....adriennes had a decent selection.........i thought dresses were going to be at least 3K but for the most part you have a good price range to work w/
