I'm getting married 5/8/10 and i haven't even tried on a dress...am i totally behind? I wasn't ready truthfully and my best friend was getting married this may and i was her MOH. am i still ok? i need some reassurance!

i think your fine but I would probably start looking soon. Most designers only take 4/5 months to come in, but some can take like 9 mths so you might wanna start looking soon just in case.
I was told mine would take 5 months to come in and that alterations needed to begin two months before... so I ordered my dress..... and then it came in three weeks....now it's 10 months early.... annoying!!
I wouldn't wait too long... you want to give yourself enough time to find 'the one.'
You're fine, you have a lot of time to get your dress. Work on your RH and ceremony location before anything else.
Thank you everyone. I was starting to worry. i know i will find 'the one' i just needed her wedding to be done and i needed it to be about me and my dress and have her wedding be for her. we did RH, church, limos, DJ but i just didn't get to go shopping for the dress yet. now that i can, i was starting to panic that i had to go out like this weekend and try immediately or else. i just get a little anxious...
I think you are ok but I would get going soon as some dresses do take 8 months
I'm getting married right after you and I just started looking 2 weeks ago but I found my dress already. All the places I visited said the dresses take 4 - 6 months to come in so you're fine.
You still have a little time, but it depends on the designer you choose because some designers take longer then others. I was told when i ordered my eve of milady dress it would take 8 months to come in, so i would start looking a little.
