Dress Shopping

Dress Shopping

So I guess I should go dress shopping soon.... prob over the winter break from school.

I want to go somewhere that won't be overwhelming with TOO many choices, but at the same time, with enough choices... also I really want to have someone tell me what will look good on me... KWIM?

Also a variety of prices would be good too... not sure how much I am willing to spend!

Any suggestions?

TIA!

I bought my dress at Fantasia Bridal. Stephanie was awesome! So patient and she really listened to what I said.

Centereach Bridal is also pretty good.

village bridal!

they don't work on commission, so you will get nothing but honest opinions. and they have dresses in all ranges from like 1000-8000!

all the dresses are out for you to see and touch

I liked centereach bridal but I can totally feel the difference btwn a shop that works on commission and one that doesn't my girl was a littttle pushy but overall good experience

Paradise was nice too, but I dont like that they rip the price out of the dresses

also Bayshore Bridal Suite(same owner as centereach)
they let you take pics and decent selection of dresses

I got my dress at Bridal Reflections in Carle Place and felt that they were very helpful and knowledgeable. I also shopped at Lillettes and thought they were great. Three of my friends got their dresses at Lillettes and were very happy. Good Luck

Lillettes in Bellmore!

Went there last week and had such a great experience with Gerri! She really knows her stuff!

I have another appointment this Thursday and plan on purchasing the gown I teared up in.

Good luck!

Bridal Reflections in Massapequa. Nicole was fantastic! I told her what I liked and didn't liked and she had me try on like 7 dresses. The 5th dress was the 'one'! She found the perfect dress for me that had everything I was looking for!

I highly recommend going there. You have to make an appointment to go. If you say yes to the dress there, your BMs would get a discount on their dresses. I was so happy about that!

Re: Dress Shopping

I went to Bridal Reflections in Carle Place. I worked with Lorraine who is old but she was really knowledgable. I ordered my dress from here.

I also went to The Wedding Plaza (and that's where I first found my dress). They weren't too nice there because I was the last appointment of the day and they wanted to get out and actually shut the lights before I walked out of the store.

And Bridal Elegance - Phyllis was amazing but I wanted an Eve of Milady dress and they don't carry them there.

And The Wedding Salon (Manhasset). I worked with Christianna and she is amazing! Was going to order a Kenneth Pool gown but went with Eve of Milady instead.

If you're using a ball gown, tell them they MUST put a petticoat on you. For some reason, they didn't do it at The Wedding Salon or Bridal Elegance and all of the ballgowns I tried on just made me look fat. Once you have the petticoat on, the dress just lifts up and no longer makes you look fat. That was my experience at least. HTH!
