Dress shopping

I want to go dress shopping for the first time! And i'm really excited, but I'm not ready to say yes to the dress obviously. Can anyone recommend a place thats not pushy? I'm in Islip, so anything in Suffolk would work.

Village Bridal in Babylon was excellent and so was Paradise Bridal in Patchogue- I eventually purchased my dress at Paradise.

ETA: Good luck!

I got my dress from Fantasia Bridal in Rocky Point. They have a nice assortment of dresses and the salespeople aren't pushy. I would suggest to make an appointment before you go. Sometimes they can get a little hectic, especially on the weekends, and you are better off having an appointment.

I cant recommend any places in Suffolk, but my experience has been positive with places when I tell them its my first time and I'm trying to get an idea of what I like and what looks good. They aren't pushing me to buy and have shown me different styles to see what I like in hopes that I will return. Be honest with them upfront that you are looking and they may be nice in hopes you will return.

Good luck!!

Village Bridal also lets you take pictures so you can remember your first time shopping!

I went to David's Bridal in Lake Grove, and honestly, they were not pushy at all! Lorez was my consultant, and she was not only SUPER helpful, but she and her manager were extremely polite and understanding! I went late on a Wednesday night, and ended up staying past closing time (once I realized that, I made sure not to waste anymore of their time though). They could have easily kicked me out, knowing they weren't getting my business that night, but instead answered every question with a smile!

Best of luck to you!

Village bridal!
I went there 3 times before I purchased my dress and they were so nice the whole time.

If you want to go just to look try Adrienne's in Islip. They don't have a whole lot but that's a good place for what you're looking for...I went there with my cousin when she first started looking for her wedding. No pressure and got to get an idea of what styles looked good.
