So my mom is flying up in 2 weeks to go dress shopping with me I'm thinking about going to Lillette's, Bridal Reflections & Village Bridal. Do you recommend making an appointment? Also, how long does the appointment typically take? Thanks!

I don't know about Village Bridal, but you definitely need appointments at Lillette's and Bridal Reflections.
I'd give yourself at least an hour at each store.

id definitely make an appointment ... it never hurts. depending on the day of the week if its the weekend id give yourself an hour if its not id give yourself a little more!
at the wedding salon of manhasset i went during the week and i got to take as much time as i wanted!

I spent about an hour and a half at each of the salons I went to. I never felt rushed by the consultants, but I also went during the weekday.
Mary Lou from Bridal Reflections (Massapequa) was so sweet and helpful. She even suggested I go to other salons after spending two hours with me.

Definitely make appointments...I would say at least an hour. I did 1.5 hours just in case. Go to Helen's in Commack too if you have time. They are awesome!
